The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa has appointed officers for 2020 and elected three new members to its board of directors.
Most notably a change in top leadership will take place. Kaye Englin will serve as the next President & CEO. Kaye Englin will replace Mary Ann Burk, who has served as President & CEO for 20 years.
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa consists of 12 staff positions and 16 board positions. Board positions are strictly volunteer. Board members are selected based on their community engagement. They oversee strategic planning and help manage the Foundations assets.
According to their website, the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa serves 20 Iowa counties by supporting community initiatives, building new communities and new community programs, providing financial resources and advice, and developing grants to strengthen nonprofits. The Foundation manages $119 in assets, has created $90 million in grants, and has nearly 900 individual funds at its disposal.
Kaye Englin will join Mary Ann on May 20 and they will work side by side to ensure a smooth transition. Mary Ann will retire effective May 31 and Kaye will assume full leadership.
