City of Oelwein recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Oelwein is looking for a motivated team player who has a positive outlook on local government. This position will include participation in water treatment, water distribution, sewer collection, streets, and storm sewers as needed.
With the primary duties being operation of the wastewater facility. A background in wastewater, chemistry, science, or related fields is a plus. Must pass a pre-employment physical along with mandated drug and alcohol testing. Position requires an Iowa Class B CDL license. Iowa Grade 1 Wastewater Certification in 18 months. With acquiring a Grade 4 Iowa Wastewater Certification within 5 years. Exam Eligibility and detailed job description are available.
Pay range 1st year $19.61-27.59 DOQ. Excellent benefits package, including health insurance and longevity. Applications will be accepted until Dec. 10, 2021.
