The City of Decorah is notifying residents that the City’s curbside leaf collection program has been updated and leaves can no longer be placed in City streets. The City will still collect leaves, but all leaves must now be placed in the boulevard behind the back of the curb. The City’s Street Department is expecting to start collecting leaves sometime in the next few weeks. A schedule providing the days and locations for leaf collection will be forthcoming.
As a reminder, leaves can be dropped off at the City’s Yard Waste Site during open hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays. A key can also be checked out from City Hall to access the Yard Waste Site.
