The City is working to prepare a master plan for the area in and around the North Alley and has hired Bolton & Menk as the consultant to complete the work. Public engagement is a critical component of a successful planning effort. The process began with information and data gathering of existing conditions including infrastructure, traffic, and land use. A series of initial stakeholder focus group meetings were held in the summer and an informational booth was set-up at the Farmer’s Market this fall to receive comments on ‘big-picture’ ideas and concepts.
A draft concept has been developed and will be available for review at a Public Open House to be held on December 14, 2022, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the City Council Chambers, 400 Claiborne Drive. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend at their convenience throughout the two-hour timeframe.
