The City of Elkader is participating in Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Community and Economic Development’s Rural Housing Readiness Assessment (RHRA program) and are requesting your help in completing a short housing needs survey.
The survey provides input for the Housing Steering Committee’s spring strategic planning sessions. During these sessions, an action plan will be created to address Elkader’s housing needs with the goal of ensuring that current residents and potential residents of Elkader are able to find safe, secure, and quality housing that meets their needs and fits within their budgets.
All residents, workers, and frequent visitors of Elkader and the surrounding area are encouraged to complete this survey. This survey only takes five to ten minutes to complete and responses will be kept anonymous. The data collected will only be used in the aggregate, meaning your identity remains confidential while still allowing the committee to obtain value feedback to incorporate the ideas and opinions you share into the planning and action-taking process.
The survey can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/bdkxkd4k or by using a smartphone and scanning the QR code pictured below. Paper copies of the survey are available at the Elkader City Hall, the Elkader Public Library, and at The Pit Stop. Survey responses will be accepted until April 17th.
