2021 has 2.4% of Clayton County residents unemployed

Clayton County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 212 people out of the 17,173 living in Clayton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Clayton County has increased compared to the 2.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Clayton County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 8,752 people who had a job during that time, 2 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,750 belonged to the civilian labor force.
