STB's Oberman on railroad merger: 'We are well aware of the very real and legitimate public concern over rail safety'

The federal Surface Transportation Board has approved a controversial $31 million merger between the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Kansas City Railway to create the first transcontinental railroad that runs from Canada into Mexico.
