Description:
This workshop focuses on the taste of apple varieties, and then the preparation of apple sauce. SAMPLES of apples and applesauce will be provided. Join Molly Schiel and Tim Doffing to discuss apple varieties and traits of each, then watch how to make applesauce using an InstaPot and Victorio strainer.
RSVP appreciated but not required.
Future Event: Apple Tree Pruning
Pruning of fruit trees should occur at the end of winter/start of spring prior to budding. Join Ray Kruse, ISU Extension Program Coordinator, in the NICC Garden as we identify best practices for pruning our 8 apple trees. This event will occur in March 2023.
